 Kathy is responsible for selecting books, journals and electronic resources; providing in-depth research assistance and library instruction; and acting as the advocate within the Library for the following:
Departments, Schools, or Programs
• Human Development and Family Studies
Resources in Human Development and Family Studies

Contact Kathy to request any of these services, or for help with any other library-related question or concerns.

Library Instruction - request general orientation, course-related instruction, and focused research training. Group and individual training sessions are available by appointment. For group sessions, please contact the liaison at least 2 weeks in advance.

Research Assistance - request help in selecting appropriate resources, performing database searches, or locating relevant materials at other institutions.

Citation Assistance - request help in verifying citations for publications, bibliographies, or Interlibrary Loan orders.

New Materials Requests - suggest titles to be added to the Libraries' collection.
   
Background
Kathy has been with the Homer Babbidge Library for over 20 years beginning her career in the Technical Processing Unit where she was involved in acquisitions and cataloging. She is currently a member of the Research & Instruction Services Department where she is a Reference Specialist. In addition to providing assistance to users of the Library in the general reference area she assists in the development and maintenance of the Reference serial collection. She holds a B.A. in History from the University of Connecticut and an MLS from Southern Connecticut State University.
