    Using HOMER, find the title you need at another UConn campus, then click the Request ICE button on the menu bar.
    1-3 days
    Boston Library Consortium Virtual Catalog (Loan period now 42 days; no renewals)
    Search and request titles directly from participating New England libraries. Learn how to place a request in the Virtual Catalog here.
    2-3 days

    WorldCat ILL Direct
    Search and request directly from the OCLC catalog of books and other materials in 23,000 libraries worldwide. Click the ILL Request button at the top of the record page and place your request! Learn how to place a WorldCat request here.

    2-10 days
    If you need Directions How Long?
    Journal Article/Paper Log in with your NetID and password and provide as much citation information as you have. The Interlibrary Loan staff will obtain the article. 2-5 days
    Book Chapter Log in with your NetID and password. Provide as much citation information as you can about the book chapter you need. The Interlibrary Loan staff will obtain the chapter. In some cases, copyright restrictions may prevent us from obtaining a photocopy of the needed chapter. If this is the case, we will obtain a loan for you.
    3-5 days
    Borrow a Book If you are unable to find the title you need in Homer, The Virtual Catalog or WorldCat above, log in with your NetID and password and provide as much citation information as you can about the book. The Interlibrary Loan staff will obtain the needed title.
    7-14 days

    Service Description How Long?
    Homer's Rapid Retrieval This fee-based service provides users with materials from the Homer Babbidge Library collections and makes them available electronically in Portable Document Format (PDF). Materials that qualify for this service include: journal articles, conference papers, and chapters from books from either the paper or microform collections housed in the Babbidge Library. All Storrs campus faculty, staff and students are eligible for this service. Learn how to place Rapid Retrieval requests here.

    Mac Users: If you are using OS 10, please place your requests using the Safari browser. If you are using OS 9 and earlier, please place your requests using Netscape Communicator.

    Find your NetID and password at https://netid.uconn.edu.
