Reserves

The Music & Dramatic Arts (M&DA) Library maintains a course reserve service for Music and Dramatic Arts courses, as well as courses using Music & Dramatic Arts Library materials.

Information for Students

How to Find & Use Reserve Materials:

  • Students should present the reserve item's call number, plus a valid University ID, at the Music/Drama Library circulation desk.
  • Call numbers can be found in a reserve notebook kept at the M&DA Library circulation desk (arranged by instructor), or by searching for individual items in HOMER, or by searching by instructor under the Course Reserves tab. Occasionally, a course syllabus or instructor's reading/listening list includes the library's call numbers.
  • Items circulate for three hours and must be used in the library during regular Music/Drama Library hours. The Library offers quiet listening/viewing facilities for viewing or listening reserve media. Some items circulate for different loan periods, such as overnight, 1 day, 3 day, or 7 day. Ask for assistance if you have questions about the different loan periods.

Digital Audio Reserves and Electronic Course Reserves on Husky CT :

  • Students officially enrolled in participating courses may access their course listening assignments online via their instructors' course pages on HuskyCT (formerly Vista/WebCT).
  • NOTE: some course readings may be available in PDF format via HuskyCT, aka as Electronic Course Reserves or ECR.
  • For information about using HuskyCT, go to the UConn Libraries Reserve Homepage.

Information for Instructors

Putting Print and A/V Materials on Reserve:
