Center for Research Libraries (CRL)

The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) is a consortium of North American universities, colleges, and independent research libraries. It collects and preserves hard-to-find research materials in print, microform, and electronic formats. Collections include newspapers, journals, books, scores, and electronic resources.

The UConn Libraries are part of the CRL, so UConn students, faculty, and staff may borrow CRL's collections through interlibrary loan. The loans are often more substantial than regular interlibrary loans, encompassing entire journal runs and months-long loan periods, and CRL sometimes purchases additional materials on request.

To request CRL materials, fill out an InterLibrary Loan request form. CRL materials are also listed in WorldCat, a database that includes the holdings of libraries worldwide. Items identified through WorldCat can be requested by clicking on the ILL (interlibrary loan) button ILL button.
